![]() ![]() Two options are available, “ Use Windows Password”, and “ Create New Passphrase”. This will bring up the " Add User" dialog window. Next, click on “ New Passphrase User…” on the right side of this window. Click on the disk partition labeled “ C: Partition” so that it is highlighted. In this example, the C: Partition will be encrypted. In this example, it is called “ C: Partition”: The Partitions on the disk will then be displayed. To do so, click the plus sign next to the top-level disk as seen in the screenshot labeled, “ C:(Boot) 15GB Fixed Disk”: Because of this, it is recommended to encrypt the main Boot\Windows partition on the disk. Sometimes system disks may contain recovery partitions, or other system partitions. Symantec Drive encryption has the ability to encrypt an entire system disk, or a partition.
